Alma Circulation Training

Alma Guide

This Alma Training for Circulation is intended to serve as an Alma guide tailored for our local workflows and policies.

As of April 2019, SUNY Broome and the SLC -- are still actively configuring and preparing the transition to Alma (with an expected go-live date of late June 2019). As such, this guide will continue to evolve and be customized as more efficient workflows are discovered and new features are rolled out.

There are oftentimes several ways to complete similar tasks and sometimes there is no "right way"; however, the steps listed here will hopefully serve as best practices and therefore will aid in providing consistent service.

Although this guide is created with the goal of aiding in the transition from Aleph to Alma, it could serve a dual purpose in helping train new staff.
