Finding Articles and Books Using Primo

You can access Primo, the Library's discovery tool, from the Library's home page.

Primo - An Advanced Search Strategy for ASL Topics

Primo can be accessed from the Library's home page.

  • go to the "Advanced Search"

Primo, arrow to advanced search

 

  • select what type of resources you are looking for
  • if your topic is "american sign language" you can try setting-up the first line of the search strategy as follows:
    • "american sign language" OR ASL
    • on the following search line(s) you can add terms to focus your search

advanced search strategy, arrows to different types of resources to search, use quotations to search as a phrase, capitalize ORs to broaden search, capitalize ANDs to narrow search, add a line, search
