How to view Kanopy Films from off-campus.
How to access Kanopy Videos Off-Campus
Navigate to https://sunybroome.kanopy.com/
- If you are on-campus you will have direct access to videos.
- If you are off-campus, there are a few extra steps to access the videos.
First, follow the streaming link to the film or go to Kanopy (above). If following a streaming link on a mobile device, you will be redirected to the Kanopy app.
If you are on a desktop, click login and then 'Get Started' if you have never created a Kanopy account
- Open the app, tap Get Started, then Find University.
- Type in SUNY Broome and select it from the results.

You will be redirected to your SUNY Broome's login screen - enter in your mycollege username and password to login.

You can start watching your video OR continue on to access additional features (continue watching, watchlist, playlists).

Complete the signup process by creating your Kanopy account.
Your account can be created using your Google or Facebook login, or can be done directly on Kanopy using your email address and password. Your password will need to be at least 6 characters.
- After creating your account, you’ll receive a verification email in your inbox. Click on the link in this email to verify your email address.
- You're all set! Select a film to start watching.
