Opposing Viewpoints in Context - Searching

  • Access the Database (see box above)
    • go to "Advanced Search"

  • Advanced Search Box
    • enter your search terms in the search box
    • set "Field" to "Keyword"
    • use quotations to search as a phrase, e.g., "autonomous vehicles"
    • use OR (capitalized) to broaden your search
    • AND in between search boxes narrows the search
    • search

  • Search Results
    • note the different content types, e.g., academic journals, magazines, viewpoints
    • you can filter your results - "Subjects" is a helpful filter
    • select content type to see all results for it
    • select title to retrieve article

    • scroll down to the bottom of the article
    • select: MLA 9th Edition or APA 7th Edition
    • note disclaimer
