When you are searching in the Library's databases you may come across an item that the Library does not own or have access to. At this point in the databases there is usually a link that will direct you to interlibrary loan. This is where you put in your request for the item, and the Library will try and locate it for you. If the item you are requesting is an electronic article, you will receive an email with information on how to access it. If it is a physical item, e.g., print book, you will receive an email when it is available for you to pick up at the Library's circulation desk.
