Guide to assist research in World History

Quick Tips

  • Navigate to the 'Primary Sources' and 'Peer Reviewed Articles' tabs on the top to learn how to locate each type of source using library resources.
  • Help: use the chat feature, find my email address in the Librarian profile or contact the Reference Desk at 778-5043
  • Library home page (http://www.sunybroome.edu/library)
    • Books: Search for books on the "books and more" tab.  You can also browse books by topic area on the second floor of the library, in the D through F call number sections.
    • Articles: Do a quick search for articles on the "articles" tab but see top tabs for better search techniques.  (If you are off-campus, you will be asked for your MyCollege login information to authenticate to library resources.)
    • Interlibrary loan: If we don't have the book or article you need, we will borrow it from another library for you.  For free.  Books can take up to a week to get here; articles are usually delivered within 24 hours to your email. Click on the 'Get it' link or ask a librarian for assistance to complete an interlibrary loan request.
